I'm not sure what the issue is--that he guards his food, that he won't play with the dogs, or that he whines if you don't give him attention? You should start reading up on positive training. Try searching dogs and "nothing in life is free". Find some "work" for the dog, which should include basic obedience. I like Yahoo Groups agbeh. Anyway I think this situation is going to take a lot of patience and time! I really would suggest looking into a very experienced dog trainer to help you, you dont want to make the situation worse.
