Never off a leash and a fence at least 6ft. most won't let you buy or adopt one without a guarantee on those 2 points and if responsible they won' t they can get over a fence with ease, most have some kind of thing that comes out to block a jump even with a six ft fence

No but I've always wanted one since I was very young. I just know they need lots of room to run or lots of exercise.
Hope she becomes your best friend. They are such lovely creatures.
I have a rescued border collie right now. So smart and loving. But if ever another dog comes into my life, it will be an IG for sure.

Can be high energy, especially that young. Fenced yard unless you're willing to leash-walk at least four times a day. Like to sleep in your bed under the covers. Personable. Loving. Yes, they're breakable. Yes, they can be difficult to housetrain (though a single dog could probably be more easily trained). Pee pads for winter! They're breed snobs--they enjoy their own kind! ;-) Depending on where you're getting your girl, she could have health issues, particularly if her sire and dam weren't screened for them. PRA, for instance. Also, I've seen a lot of autoimmune or immune-mediated conditions in IGs. Again, you might not see any of that if your girl is coming from a reputable breeder. Something else to keep in mind--a reputable breeder will take back their dog at any time, if for any reason you cannot keep her. The IGCA website has tons of good information.

I fostered one a few years ago. I have Whippets. IG's are nothing at all like Whippets other than they look a lot alike. This little guy was high energy and playful. He was very sweet and affecionate. His favorite place was in my lap. He loved everyone he met, but did not like other dogs except ones he knew. I may get an IG when I'm down to fewer dogs because of my experience with this little guy.
Oh, and he was easy to housetrain with a dog door.
