Toy Fox Terrier Or Italian Greyhound?

I’m looking to get a new puppy and wanted some opinions on which breed was better: Toy Fox Terrier or Italian Greyhound. I live in an apartment so constant barking might be an issue. However, I read that both breeds can be trained to only bark at certain times (don’t know how true that is though). Also, I’m willing to take the dog for walks, but also want one that will get most of its exercise inside. I also want a dog that I can take places with me (especially in the car) so I wondered if the Italian Greyhound would be too large. If anyone owns or has owned one of these breeds I would appreciate your input. Thanks

As a terrier owner, I can tell you that apartments are not a good place for them. No matter how small, they’re still super active, super smart, and if they don’t have a way to get out their energy, they can be super loud. Look into a Lhasa Apso, Japanese Chin, Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, these types of dogs were bred to be companions, terriers are actually bred for hunting.
Any dog can be trained to only bark at certain times, you can even put all barking on command, if you have a good enough trainer to work with and guide you.

I think that fox terrier do bark often while the greyhound is a big dog that needs a place with a huge ground in order to run. Greyhounds are dogs use in dog racing so a little walk is to little for them to be satisfied. In getting a dog in my opinion you should consider the space, the neighborhood and the purpose of getting one whether for company or protection or both.

The Toy Fox Terrier is a terrier. This means barking at everything. The Italian Greyhound is a bit more nervous, but usually not yappy. They suffer from extreme heat or cold though.Italian Greyhounds are very small.

toy fox terrier, they play by them selves so you don’t have to take him out also they are small so they have a lot of space.
