What Is The Best Way To Re-house Train An Italian Greyhound?

The dog would not pee in the house BEFORE he was fixed. Now that he is neutered, he pees in the house, mostly when we are not home. He does not mark things when he pees, but it’ll be a puddle in the middle of the floor. He is always walked immediately, as a relief trip, before we leave.

IGs need continuity! Same thing, same time, just about every day…
For the retraining, I suggest umbilical training when you’re home. When you’re not, the IG needs to be confined to a small area. If you’re not comfortable with crate training, at least confine in a single dog-safe room.
For the absolute BEST in IG information, I suggest you register at http://www.iggyplanet.com It’s a forum dedicated to italian greyhounds. There are some of the best pet owners, show people, breeders, etc., all in 1 convenient location.

try crating him when you are not home, dogs in theory will not pee in their sleeping area.
