Why Is My Dog So Crazy?

I have two italian greyhounds. Pippin is 3yrs old and I’ve had him since he was 10 months. Then we adopted Hayden when he was a year old in February. He had been to several homes and was never potty trained (and still doesn’t do well in cold weather). both dogs are neutered.
Hayden is just about to turn 2. Hayden is constantly biting Pippin and lately has been trying to hump him. Pippin has always been very laid back. Hayden seems really jealous (can dogs be jealous?)
Anyway is there any way to stop Hayden from biting Pippin? It annoys me and it seems like it annoys Pippin too.

i have and raise dogs and i find that if you get yourself a spray bottle and some cider vinegar and spray him with it every time he dose something wrong it really works with training dogs and also they don’t like to go to the bathroom where they hate the smell so use the vinegar it stinks real bad but after a few days they put two and two together and they stop they hate it but you will get to the point you won’t have to spray them you can just pick up the bottle if you have to and he will stop hope this helps you and yes animals can be jealous they are fur babies
Hayden is younger and the biting is a way to say I want to play…I can’t explain the humping…unless this is an unfriendly and aggressive biting it just sound like Hayden has pent up excitement and wants to wrestle with the older dog. Make sure he has lots of outlets for his energy and exercise and give him lots of toys that can be played with in a tug of war like fashion…that might help
It’s the dominance dance.
Hayden is trying to assert his dominance and rank. It’s a daily battle. The best thing you can do is pay attention to whoever seems to have won the dominance dance and feed, pet, praise that one first.
Brother’s will do this to establish rank. They will fight for space, toys, food bowls, attention.
Ours would completely get into it.They would hump each other’s face.and then the other one would get mad and try and bite him there.
We just decided to keep one of them. And things have calmed down for both of them.Since they no longer have to fight for anything.
i think that maybe your dog wants attention just involve your
dog in more “dog activites” or just love him
IG’s are pretty hyper anyway. It sounds like you’re having dominance issues. Get some Dog Whisperer advice – watch the show on National Geographic… They both need to know that you’re the boss, not either of them.
dogs can be jealous. they are very aware of their rank in the tribe, as well as of the rank of any other dogs. it is normal to have dominant behavior going on. try to catch him and startle him when he’s about to bite.
it’s obvious that hayden still has alot of play in her however greyhounds require much exercise go outside and try walking her on lead make her heel and focus only on you if she is distracted then her mind is still in a state of chaos. as for the humping, sho could be trying to display dominance over the other dog typically you see this in males but there are alfa females ie dominant females she just need s to learn who’s boss and it’s not her or the other dog it’s you
