Best Way To Train My Ig Pups To Not Go Near The Road?

I have two 4-month-old Italian Greyhound puppies. Right now, because it is cold outside, they don’t go very far. But as it warms up I know they will enjoy being outside. I will be living in an apartment on my father’s small farm. We have a decent amount of land and I want to give the pups their freedom to run, play, etc. But, I do not want them going near the road or going in the horse pasture where they could get trampled.
An invisible fence is out of the question. I was considering a wireless pet fence but I really don’t want to do that either.
My father has a 1-year-old rat terrier the pups play with a lot. My dad has trained him not to go near the road. He has the freedom our previous dogs (lab and doberman) always have had. They basically had the freedom to run wherever they wanted and never went in the road. But I’m worried that if the pups go near it, their rat terrier friend will follow.
I would invest in a fence but we have so much land it would be almost impossible. Others have mentioned chicken- wire type fences that I should put up in an area on the lawn.
Please give me some advice. I know my dad will help in training as he has trained all of our dogs very well. I would like some additional suggestions.
Thanks!

What Is The Best Way To Introduce 3 New Dogs?

Me and my family go on holiday with my aunt and her children every year, and they have to dogs, a greyhound/ lurcher mix who is quite chilled, never lets anything bother him and is great with dogs and children, there other dog is Golden retriever mix and is OK with dogs once she gets to know them, they both came from the shelter.
They are coming over between christmas and new year(live like 5 hours away) to see the rest of our family and stuff and there bringing there dogs.
And seen as though we are going on holiday later that year i think it’s best to make the dogs meet when mine is younger.
So i have a GSD 4 nearly 5 month and will be 7-8 months then, he gets on well with calm dogs and then he wants to play, he goes puppy training and has done since his shots where complete but giddy dogs bug him.
So what is the best way to introduce these dogs to each other.
I was thinking in a neutral place one dog at a time.
BTW all dogs are spayed and neutered well mine is not yet but will be when they are here.

I’m thinking about getting a dog. Right now I’m leaning towards the greyhound. I’ve done lots of research about dogs, so I probably don’t need any training tips or anything. My only question is, what brand of food would you reccomend?

What Is The Best Way To Re-house Train An Italian Greyhound?

The dog would not pee in the house BEFORE he was fixed. Now that he is neutered, he pees in the house, mostly when we are not home. He does not mark things when he pees, but it’ll be a puddle in the middle of the floor. He is always walked immediately, as a relief trip, before we leave.

What Type Of Dog Walking Tool Is The Best To Train My Dog To Stop Pulling On The Leash During Walks? Thank You?

I am in the process of trying to get my dog to stop pulling on the leash during walks. Right now, I am using a regular flat collar. I don’t feel that a flat collar is going to help any. I believe that there must be a better dog walking tool. I will not use a greyhound collar, a prong collar, or a choker collar. Thank You!

I have an Italian Greyhound, 10 months old. She is the sweetest dog but is having trouble 100% mastering outdoor potty training. She definately knows she is supposed to go outside as she does most of the time, but we will still catch a spot inside every few days. When we do catch her and say “No!” she will immediately stop and run outside. It almost seems to be when she gets “upset” she goes inside. Any ideas?

Roadworking at a slow easy trot with short bursts at a gallop. My Whippets will go 3 miles, 2 days on 1 day off. I would think a GH would probably need 4 miles. You will need to build up to this, start with a mile depending on the shape he is in. Give him a warm up and cool down, as well as stretch him out before and after. Read your dog to make sure you are not pushing him to hard.
It wouldn’t hurt to do some playing with a lure to see that he is game. IMO they either are or aren’t, and you can’t really train them to want to chase, although most every SH will want to.
I would also suggest taking him to a cardiologist (dog shows sometimes have one for a small fee) and get his heart checked, preferably by someone familiar with SHs.
