My Puppy Is Going In The Crate, Help!!??

I have a 3.5 month old Italian greyhound who keeps going wee wee in his crate. At first he went in his crate once in a while (mostly at night when he couldn’t hold it all night long), then I adjusted his feeding schedule and he was doing great for about two weeks only to regress and start going in his crate constantly. We made the crate smaller with a divider so I know thats not the problem. (We cannot make it any smaller or he wont fit in it). Sometimes he goes in the crate even when he’s been in there for only a short period of time, so I know thats not the problem either (we take him out to potty every hour-2 hours). He does go potty outside normally, unless he has just gone potty in the crate in which case he wont go outside. Anyways, I never had this problem with my other dog and we crate trained her the same way. What do I do? Help!!!
Crate Training Question….?

I have 3 dogs…. And I have crate trained them all. 2 of them are fine with the crate, my third doesn’t mind being in the crate, but he poops & pees in it, and then lays in it. It is really gross!! At night, he is fine, but it is while I am at work that he defacates all over the crate and hangs out in it. I usually leave him in his crate for a max of about 5 hours, so he should be able to hold it. He is potty trained and rarely ever has an accident in the house, but the minute you put him in the crate, he pees. When I go to wash his blanket, I find there is a bunch of poop in it.
I have been told to get him a smaller crate, which I have done twice, it didn’t help.
I have been told to remove the blanket, but I can’t because he shivers. (He is an italian greyhound)
Someone help!
How Do You Stop Your Dog From Crying When In Crate?

We recently had to crate our rescued greyhound after he started soiling in the house. He’s been with us for 6 years with very little problems. He started soiling when we moved to a new house. Its been 2 years and he’s destroyed the carpeting. He’s been to the vet and all checks out. He doesn’t soil everyday but enough that we decided to crate when we cannot watch him and at night. His crying is horrible. Especially at night. But we need to stop him from destroying the house. Just a note – we have a second dog that’s crate trained. In fact the second dog enjoys his downtime in the crate. Both crates sit side by side. Any tips to make the greyhound more comfortable in the crate? Thanks in advance.
Advice Needed For 10 Week Old Pup. Crate Training And Biting.?

I have an 11 week old labrador/greyhound puppy who has a few issues we hope to solve with crate training, but as i am new to this concept, I would like to ask a little advice.
Firstly, I am struggling to find some good info on toilet training with a crate. My vet advised to have some puppy pads in the crate overnight with the pup as well as food and water but alot of the websites i have read advise against this. What is the best method?
We are mainly trying this due to some bad chewing behaviour. I know she is only young and it is in her nature to chew, but she has pulled a significant amount of wall paper off the wall so i am a little concerned about that. Obviously wall paper is not a recommended diet for a pup so i worry about her swallowing some, hence one more reason for the crate.
As far as biting goes, she jumps up and snaps at our hands alot. She has a tendency to crouch down with her back end in the air and growl, she will then bark and lunge up to bite. A friend insists this is her challenging authority so i would like to hear thoughts on controlling this behaviour.
She is a lovely dog and some of her training is going well, she just has some destructive tendencies that i would like some constructive advice on correcting please.
Thanks for helping
We Are Adopting A Beautiful 2 Year Old Retriever/greyhound And Want To Crate Train…?

Should she sleep in the crate, or should we take her bed out of her crate and bring it in our bedroom with us (I’ve read that dogs are pack animals and should sleep with their pack)? At what times do we tell her to go in her crate (other than when we’re gone)? Should we banish her to her crate when she is bad, or should it be viewed as a positive place?

he poops in his cage. The big problem is that he eats it. I am very frustrated over this. I am not sure how to stop him from pooping in the cage or how to get him to stop eating it. Any serious info would be appreciated. By the way, he is an Itailian Greyhound and is about 9 months old and is completely house trained.
My 9 Month Greyhound Is Crate Trained Want To Get Her Out Of It So That She Can Join A New Dog We Are Getting?

My greyhound is crate-trained in that she goes in there when I am out (once or twice a week) for 3 hours and is clean. She sleeps by my bed during the night – which we are happy with. We are getting a new dog (a 10 month old greyhoundxgerman shepherd lurcher) in 2 weeks for company for her as she has slight seperation anxiety, although she does settle down in her cage usually – although neighbours said they heard howling the other day. Apparantly, the new dog does not require a crate.
Three issues
1. how do I get her out of the crate? – she is a bit chewy.
2. how do I settle the new dog in?
3. how do I ensure that they get on, particularly when left?
Thanks
