I’m At My Wit’s End With My New Puppys House Training! They Won’t Go Outside!?

I just got two Italian Greyhound pups who are 3 months old. I didn’t know this before, but I’m pretty sure they’re from a puppy mill. I’m looking into it. They were raised in a kennel from birth, have never been outside and never even been able to run around on the floor. Everything is all new to them. I’m trying so hard to be patient. I won’t bring them back to that place, so I’m really trying to work with them. They’re well behaved , very loving, sweet, but the one thing that is their downfall- they won’t pee or poop outside! I do the thing where I’ll keep them kenneled, take them out, if they don’t go, I bring them in, kennel them, take them out again in 15 minutes or so. Most dogs won’t pee where they sleep… these WILL. THey stink and their kennel stinks. I feel like crying! My kids and I are very attached to them, but I have a 2 year old who’s always walking on the floor. They just don’t get it when we’re outside. It’s freezing MN here, so they just sit and shake and cry. Help!
How Do I Keep My Dog From Peeing In The House!?

I have an 12 year old greyhound who we adopted from the racing track about 8 years ago. He’s been a wonderful dog and we’ve never had any serious problems with him. He was house trained when we got him and has had few accidents in the many years we’ve had him; mostly when taking him over to other people’s houses and the pet store.
I recently moved out of the house, however, and took him with me. I know it’s been tough on him. He was my shadow for the first month in our new residence and he even started to pee in one area of the house [the living room where we don't spend a lot of time]. He’s on the same schedule to go outside as we’ve always had him so I know it’s because he just can’t hold it anymore. And he’s seemed to be well adjusted to our new living arrangement, but he’s still peeing in that same area of the house. I thought he would stop after getting used to the change, but it’s still happening.
Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please help!
Dog Is Destroying My House!?

We are currently fostering a 6-month-old pit bull/greyhound mix until she finds a permanent home. It is obvious to us that she has no prior training, and we don’t know who had her before we got her. She is the sweetest dog in the world and loves to cuddle, run, and play with our other dog when we are home. However, when we go to work during the day, she turns into a total maniac. We have left chew toys, stuffed animals, etc. out for her during the day, but she always seems to find soemthing else to chew on. Yesterday when I got home, she had reached her head into the cubby holes of our coffee table, pulled out all of the contents, and chewed/eaten everything. On top of that, she got into our higher-up bookshelves, pulled everything off and shredded it. To make matters worse, she also chewed the corner off of our coffee table, peed and pooped everywhere, and eventually puked everything up on our couch. We tried putting her in a pen, but she jumps out. Please help!!!!

i have a 4 yo and a 2 yo greyhound. The 2 yo is a female. She just came off the tracks. we were training her with the crate and she was doing good not making a mess in the house til lately. She has no problem showing us that she can make in the house in front of us. She used to be so good to as letting us know when she needs to go out and now she has turned back to the not so trained dog she was. Its as if we crate train her she pees in the house, and if she doesn’t pee, she is bad in the crate (whining, barking..etc) . My 4 year old will pee on only certain things. even right after i clean it! he has been in many homes before.. I am at my end, and am not sure what to do. ANy suggestions will be well appreciated. Thank you.

I have a 2 year old greyhound that is potty trained but likes to poop in the house. How do i get him to quit this? he also sometimes pees. I know that he isn’t trying to show dominance due to his submissiveness but am at a loss as to how stop this issue. He also goes past child gates and gets into food while we are gone. I tried shutting him in a room and he clawed through the door. we like the dog and want to keep him but need to get rid of these issues to keep him.
Medium Size Sporty Dog Breeds That Would Suit A Small House?

I’m a long way away from getting a dog but I’m thinking about it in the future. I’m moving to a flat (apartment), it is two level but still pretty small. I’m not really keen on small foo foo dogs or terriers, other half doesnt like greyhound-type dogs or lab/golden retrievers. Have lived with springer and cocker spaniels all my life, adore them but would like to try a different breed if possible. Cross breeds are fine too, I plan to check out the local shelters. Basically I would like a dog thats up to medium size, easy to train, that I can do agility with and exercise 1 and a half to 2 hours a day. I love collies, but dont think its really fair to keep them in a flat. Also like Duck Tollers, but not sure if they would settle in a flat…basically I need a dog that, although it is active, will be reasonably calm around the house, and not bark loads (afraid of annoying neighbours).
I’m very demanding aren’t I?

She usually scratches at the door, but we have been keeping my boyfriends mom’s dog for about a week, and lately she has been going on the floor and not scratching. I dont know what to do. we usually put her in her cage and let her stay in there for a little while. I dont know if it is the breed or what is going on with her. She is a jack russell and pointer mix (i think it is jack russell and greyhound but the pound told us pointer). If anyone has any suggestions please help!!

our dog , is not actually ours, he’s a foster greyhound. greyhounds are hard to teach because they are so timid, but not this one. he is huge and muscular, so we can’t pull him anywhere. telling him “no” will not help, he just brushes it off and walks away.
this dog keeps taking things off of desks, tables and counters. we yell at him and squirt him with water, nothing is helping. we can’t use crate training because he needs to be in a crate when we leave the house or else he will tear apart the house, and at night or else he wakes us up in the middle of the night. we ca’t put spices on my iPod and he reaches into my dad’s bad, into his lunch box and got a muffin. he is also very quiet. he is huge, so it is easy for him to get on the counter. he takes anyhting and everything! please help!!!!!

I have a second dog- thinking that this would help and it hasn’t. What can I do???
